Younger Illinoisans get scammed more often. Older Illinoisans lose more when they do.

The inverse pattern: Illinois consumers aged 19 and under reported losing money at the highest rate (41.5%), but their median loss was $129. For those 80 and over, only 16.0% reported a loss, but the median was $1,500, about 12 times larger.
